Right on Time

“God’s timing is more important than your time.”

Jordan Smith Blog

You need God’s timing.

No matter how long it takes.

You need His guidance.

Even if He takes you the long way.

“I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭45:2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

If we try to rush ahead of God, there will be mountains, gates, and iron bars in the way of where we need to be.

He goes before you to make a way. Trust HIS timing. He’s rarely early. But He’s never late.

I’ve discovered this poisionous habit we all at some point or another develop. We take God’s plan and try to exectute it our way.

I want His blessing but I want to get it by my own means. I want His prescence but I want it only at my convience. I want His protection but I still want to go and do my own thing. I want His favor, as long as it’s for what I’m favoring.

God is a God of great provision. His blessings and promises are unparralled. The problem is we decide to pick and choose which ones suit our own little perspective and then once we’ve picked it- we want it now.

I can tell you with all fervency that I want God’s plan for my life. But recently God has been showing me that if I’m going to accept His blueprint then I also have to execute it His way. In His order.

God will never call you to something He hasn’t already made a plan for.

Read that again.

What to you feels like a chaotic trust fall is actually a strategic, brilliantly designed, glorious plan. Which means He has a made a way and a path for you to follow. It’s comforting to know God doesn’t ask to go anywhere He hasn’t already been.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”  Proverbs 3:5-6

Submit your time to His perfect timing. It’s okay if it doesn’t happen when you thought it would. It’s okay if it doesn’t happen how you thought it would. Just know that in all your waiting time, God is in front of you making your path straight.

While you are waiting- God is working.
